Hands & Voices is a parent-driven non-profit organization dedicated to providing unbiased support to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The group filled out the chapter application and will soon be approved to start a chapter in Indiana by the national Hands & Voices chapter. They are currently seeking chapter membership. For more information, see the attached brochure, see www.handsandvoices.org or feel free to contact Jodee Crace, chairperson, at INHands&Voices@isfd.state.in.us

Opportunities for Peer Interaction

In an effort to encourage more interaction between deaf students in different education programs, the Indiana School for the Deaf would like to announce that students in any educational program can attend sporting events at ISD. Parents will need to attend with their children but this is a great chance for Deaf students to interact with other Deaf children and adults. Feel free to contact Amber Bahler at ABahler@isfd.state.in.us to get a copy of ISD’s sports schedules.
